Our Mission
Using Coupons: Encouraging Hope
Our mission is four-fold encompassing the
true spirit of giving back!
I'm
Kimberly McCormick,
founder of this
amazing journey! I've used coupons for
almost 17 years. When I began college,
the costs were outrageous (and don't I wish
those were the prices today!), and I was
looking for any way to cut costs!
Using coupons has changed dramatically over
the years, and I've learned an incredible
amount of information that helps my family
and I stretch a very small budget!
I've also spent my life being very community
oriented, volunteering when I can, donating
when it's possible, and doing what I can to
assist others. I had two dreams for my
life... one was to be a mommy, and the other
was to be the founder of a non profit
organization. I have been blessed with
three beautiful children, and I have founded
two non profits, in two different states.
In order to combine my love of a great deal
with social outreach, Retire With Coupons
was formed!
1. Retire With Coupons offers
educational workshops on the use of coupons,
and how to stretch budgets within an
individual and/or family's means! It
covers the basics
of coupon use, including where to find
coupons, organizational information, finding
current sales, store promotions, local store
policies and legalities, question & answer
session, and specific, detailed explanations
of some of our best deals! This class
is best for individuals who are new to
couponing who shop within our local areas of
Bloomington-Normal, Pekin and/or Peoria,
Illinois, as we include important
information that is specific to these
locations.
We have scheduled monthly workshops at
Normal Township in Normal and at Crittenton
Centers in Peoria! Each workshop is
two hours and costs $20 per person.
Scholarship information is available upon
request by emailing
kimberly@retirewithcoupons.com.
Retire
With Coupons
also provides workshops on-site to agencies,
organizations, educational facilities, and
other companies who are interested in
sharing this financial vision with their
clients and employees. We are honored
to also teach the required course for
eligibility at a local food pantry.

calendar of events

2. By utilizing coupons, we're able to
donate needed items within our community,
encouraging hope among those who may need it
most!

As an example, during the week of September
29, 2008, I purchased 116 boxes of cereal,
and five boxes of fruit snacks for only
$10.25 and donated it to Clare House!
As recently as January 17, 2009, my family
and I donated 72 boxes of cereal, and 24
boxes of granola bars, and paid less than
$12 for all of it!
Retire With Coupons donates 5% of all our
fees back to the Clare House, in the form or
cash or groceries, depending on their need,
in an effort to facilitate hope and
inspiration among our community.
3. Scholarships! We are blessed
by individuals and companies who are
sponsoring individuals who can't afford the
workshop fees! We want social service
agencies to be able to refer individuals to
us, and if those individuals can't afford to
pay, we can use our scholarship funds!
Our hope is to eventually be a permanent
agency within the social service
organizations, and have funding allocated
for individuals if there isn't a budget
through the organization.
4. Shopping Crew! Lastly, Retire
With Coupons offers a "shopping crew"
monthly subscription targeting our
Bloomington-Normal and Mclean County,
Illinois area. Each subscription
includes Weekly Shopping Lists, Trusted
Coupon Sources, Monthly Coupon Swaps,
Unlimited E-mail Support, and Access to our
new list-serv!

information and to subscribe to our shopping
crew!
As I mentioned, we want to give back in the
truest form by going full circle! We
provide educational workshops which provides
essential information to families on
budgeting in a unique way. We offer
our monthly subscription service to help
families duplicate good deals allowing them
to keep more cash in their pocket for other
items they may need, but couldn't previously
afford! Individuals and businesses
have stepped up to offer scholarship funds
for individuals to take our workshops and
subscribe to our monthly shopping crew that
may not be able to afford it otherwise, and
Retire With Coupons then donate a percentage
of these fees directly back into our local
food pantries! Amazing, isn't it?
Would you like to help?
* Become a sponsor! We have many
advertising opportunities available, so you
benefit from good-will publicity, as well as
just feeling good about giving back! Please
email
Kimberly
for more information!
* Save your coupons for us from the
newspapers! By having additional
coupons, it allows us to share the deals
with other families. Coupons allow us
to duplicate the deals, so we may donate to
our local food pantries. Coupons are
the heart of our organization! If
you'd like to mail them, please send several
weeks at a time, and save on postage!
Please send the full inserts, instead of
cutting them out individually. We file
entire inserts by date, so we may find what
we're looking for easier! If you'd
like to drop off the coupons, or would like
to request a pick up, please
contact me!
Thank you!
